Volunteers Fuel our Work!
We are an organization of volunteers. We don’t have paid staff so we can use all of the funds we raise to care for the Lake. Here are some ways you might consider helping us.
Writing/Communication
We intend to produce regular of written content for our news feed, social media, and newsletters. We need help with interviewing, listening to storytellers, reading researching, and produing simple but high quality snippets, stories and articles.
Social Media Coordinator
We need someone to develop and manage our social media presence so we can reach as many people as possible with our message and stories.
Photo/Video
We’d love to have folks who help us capture wildlife, water, weather, wetlands, stories and the general beauty of the Lake in photographs and video, and even possibly video editing.
Education
Our education and nature programs are a great way to connect with people and help them learn about the world around them and the amazing natural diversity of the Lake. We are assembling a team of people who envision, organize and deliver these important experiences.
Neighborhood Research
Over time, we want to get to know our neighbors, in particular those who live upstream from the Lake in our watershed. Opportunities include computer-based research work and neighborhood canvassing.
