Timber Lake’s History
Timber Lake has a long and storied history. Many elderly residents of the Lynchburg area still recall summers spent at the Lake when they were children. Here is a brief history of the Lake’s first 100 years.

In 1995…
the Timber Lake dam failed, draining the lake and taking one life. During the recovery from this disaster, residents forged a new purpose to care for the lake and the infrastructure that forms it. more to come
